BNP Paribas Fortis - Graph

The profit and return graph of Save and Invest in the BNP Paribas Fortis Easy Banking app was very complex. The app showed 3 different graphs to visualise the performance of a stock or fund. This made it hard to conclude your potential return or profit. On the other hand there was also a lack of coherence between the 3 visualisations and they took up a lot of screen space. But most important: the market value date was missing so there was no reference point whatsoever.

Solution:

I’ve created 1 graph which contains the market value + the date of this market value. 

Within this market value bar I drew a line where the purchase value is situated. In case of potential profit we add the profit in a bright green. In case of potential return we deduct a red bar from the original purchase value.  

This way all the data was in 1 simple graph and all the elements were connected to each other to show the link between them.
